Our Mission & Vision

The mission of New River Worship Center is to bear witness of Christ and His truth and to spread the gospel of the Kingdom in its fullness and power to all people, so that the rule of God is brought about in the hearts of men.

Statement Of Faith:

We Believe…

The Scriptures Inspired

The Scriptures, both the Old and the New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of

God to man – the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.

The One True God

The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally, self-existent “I AM,” the Creator of Heaven and

earth and the Redeemer of mankind.  He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of

relationship and association in three persons as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God.  The Scriptures declare:

      His virgin birth.

      His sinless life.

      His miracles.

His substitution work on the cross.

      His bodily resurrection from death.

His exaltation to the right hand of God.

–

The Fall of Man

Man was created good and upright; for God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.”

However, man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also

spiritual death, which is separation from God.

–

The Salvation of Man

Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God.  Salvation is

received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ.  Through the shed blood

of Jesus, regeneration and justification through faith, man becomes an heir of God according to the hope of

    eternal life.

–

The Baptism of the Holy Ghost

All believers are entitled to and should expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism of

the Holy Ghost according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ.  This was the normal experience of the

early Church.  With it comes the enduement of power for life and service, and the bestowment of the gifts

and their uses in the work of the ministry.

–

The Evidence of the Holy Ghost

The baptism of believers in the Holy Ghost is witnessed by the initial, physical sign of speaking with other

tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance.

–

Sanctification

Sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God.  The Scriptures

teach us a life of “holiness without which no man shall see the Lord.”

–

The Church

The Church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with the divine appointments for

the fulfillment of Her great commission.  Each believer born of the Spirit is an integral part of His Body, the

Church, which is written in Heaven.

–

The Ministry

A divinely called and spiritually ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord to evangelize the world

and the edifying of the Body of Christ.

–

Divine Healing

Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel.  Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement

and is the privilege of all believers.

–

The Blessed Hope

The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep (died) in Jesus Christ and their translation together with

those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed Hope of the

  Church.

The Millennial Reign of Christ

The second coming of Jesus Christ includes the rapture (catching away) of the saints which is our blessed

Hope as described in “L,” followed later by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on the earth

for one thousand years.  The millennial reign will bring the salvation to the blinded eyes of Israel and the

  establishment of universal peace.

The Final Judgment

There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works.

Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the

false prophet, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone,

  which is the second death.

The New Heavens and The New Earth

“We, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”

The Ordinances of Water Baptism and Communion

Water baptism.  The ordinance of baptism by immersion in water shall be administered to all those who have

repented of their sins and who have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ to the saving of their souls, and who

give clear evidence of their salvation.

Holy Communion.  The ordinances of the Lord’s Supper shall be observed regularly as enjoined in the

  Scriptures.

Positive Community Contribution

We believe in making a positive community contribution through worship, servanthood, decency, and prayer.

Marriage

We believe in the sanctity of the marriage between one man and one woman and the importance of loving,

Christian families.  “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they

  shall be one flesh.”

NRWC Testimonials (Holy Spirit Experiences, Life Changes, Visions, any interpretation of tongues and Miracles ETC!)

Where to begin, God has saved me, healed me, comforted me, given me peace, answered prayers the list goes on. There is no one Bigger or Better than God!! Hallelujah    I was raised Catholic and was faithful to my faith and beliefs in God but always questioned certain things and felt something was missing. When we would come to visit family here in Kentucky (This is where Perry was born and raised) I always asked if we could attend church. Perry had not followed his faith since I had been with him. But he always would take me to church. One day during covid Perry said he was so done with being in Chicago and said let’s move to Kentucky. He was expecting me to say no but I said let’s do it. The search began looking for a house here in Kentucky. We would find a few online and set up appointments then drive down. By the time we would get here they were pending or not as shown online. Perry found the house i’m in now while driving around ” for sale by owner” it should have read ” God has a plan for your lives” It was within our budget and even negotiated the price down from asking price (All while other houses were selling above asking price). May 2021, we closed on the house and Sept. 2021 we started to attend New River Worship regularly. Perry and I re-gave our lives to the Lord and our new journey began. on Aug 21, 2022, we were both Baptized at New River!  Praise God!! Perry was being mentored by Pastor Kenny and growing in his faith, I was attending Bible studies with Carol Baker. We both attended sister Barbara’s bible studies together. I am so thankful to God for knowing what we needed, it wasn’t moving to Kentucky. Much bigger than we knew. New river was so loving, and spirit filled and we both loved Pastor Mike Willingham and sister Ann. Perry worked on the house putting up Cameras, landscaping, insulating in the crawl space… may not sound like part of a testimony maybe but i feel it is. Perry wanted to buy Cemetery plots and found 2 on craigslist at Memorial garden . I told him it was probably a scammer and he would have to make sure they could be sold. I remember church on July 2nd 2023 like it was yesterday. Perry and I both went to the alter and when I went to sit back down, Perry lingered at the alter I will never forget it. 2 days later on July 4th Perry was in a terrible motorcycle accident. The accident was horrific and perry’s leg was amputated from the crash, he was in shock and unresponsive. I wasn’t notified for hours that this took place. God placed an angel there that put a tourniquet on his leg and kept him from bleeding out. Perry never woke up from that accident but lived another week giving his children and I a chance to come and say goodbye (that was also God) he knew we needed that. After he passed and I went to make funeral arrangements we contacted the person on marketplace about the plots, and he met us at the cemetery office and sold them to me. I lost my loving husband who I was with for almost 42 years, but God was making sure I would be ok. God had his hand on everything. If it weren’t for my heavenly father, I don’t think I would have made it through. Thank you, Lord for your faithfulness and knowing Best!!  Sorry, this is so long. several testimonies in here. I’m not good at this Debbie

Just a quick testimony of the healing power of our Lord & Savior, I was unable to walk due to severe pain in my leg and foot.  A lot of my sisters and brothers prayed and asked the Lord to heal me and I was able to come into church this past Sunday the 25th of May 2025.  I know without a shadow of doubt that I was healed, and I give all praise to my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ!!  Shared by a New River Worship Center attendee!

I am Maryanne Mariano and I came to this church as of August 25,2024 Sunday mornings Services with my beautiful Sister Joyce D. Underwood, who has lived here in Radcliff Kentucky since 1995 with her husband Marvin Underwood. I have been a visitor many times down through the years past and came to her church with her. As of August 15,2024, I came to live with her because I had no where’s to live, when I called her. I told her my issues, and she told me I could live with her. So, I came to be with her, and to be able to find a place at her church New River Worship Center Church, to worship with the beautiful people. A Family closeness which is essential in one’s life, who take to heart the burdens of each other, heartfelt hardship of one who is stressed out, going through toughest time in life’s journeys.  A place to go to when under pressure and hardships is to take it before God first in prayer, then the Almighty father will answer your request, then take your request to the church who believes in and Trust in Him for everything needed or wants. Prayers is the main and only way for your request to be heard and answered by God. This little valley community church has been so supportive to me in every situation That has passed in my life. Since August 25,24 I have found that New River Worship Center Church are a close netted family and group of people joining together in love and trust in every situation I have had to face. Money cannot buy your way to heaven; however, it buys only earthly things that you can’t take with you when you pass on to ever which road you choose to go on. But when you need to be supported in situations you need a group of prayer worriers to pray on your behalf. New River Worship Center Church is a supportive and loving family church to be in. It has a great worship team. A great leadership pastoral man, A great Associate Pastor Jason Moore who care, loves all young people. No matter what or where they come from. A pastor who teaches the word of God, as so all of the pastors of this church. The teachings of the Bible and faith in love and truth. Pastor Gibson our head pastor has shown himself over and over how much his love for God is so much deeper than anyone will ever know. He is truly one of Gods best choices to lead our church with his team leaders in leading the people of God. Working together with the church’s members as teacher and spiritual leaderships of many positions In church services. If you want a great medium size, warm, caring. Heartfelt love so deep you won’t want to leave to go elsewhere churches. then this church is a great place to be in, come join in and be part of a family or single or whatever you are loving people church. Gods Blessings, Maryanne M.

Our Mission is to educate and enlighten our students of the life of Jesus Christ by empowering them with Godly principles and a compassion for others.

6-12th graders will engage in captivating environments filled with Bible lessons and practical applications that will develop their faith, character, and purpose in life.

Our Goal is to teach our teens about Jesus through a Bible-based curriculum, using fun and engaging methods by which they should govern themselves accordingly. We challenge them to live and give their lives to the glory of Jesus Christ and to share the word of God.

We desire to introduce our students to Jesus Christ and Biblical truths that will help them build a strong spiritual foundation.

Our classes are broken up in age-appropriate settings, so we maximize the impact at every stage in their lives. There are also various social activities throughout the year that provide safe environments for our youth to forge healthy relationships and have fun.

Here at New River Worship Center, we believe in the power of prayer.  We have prayer time on Tuesday, we have a prayer chain that is always on, we have people that will for pray for whatever you need at a moments notice.  You don’t even have to be specific, but we believe it is important that everyone be united and  praying for a specific need.
